Throughout the year, ORCD UK runs campaigns aligned with key moments in the Islamic calendar and humanitarian emergencies. Every campaign is tracked, reported, and Gift Aid eligible.
We are looking for founding trustees to help govern ORCD UK. You do not need charity experience, though it helps. What matters is that you care about this work and can commit time and thought to doing it well. Trustee roles are voluntary, remote, and involve quarterly board meetings. We are particularly looking for people with backgrounds in accountancy, law, and international development, but we are open to the right person regardless of their specific expertise. We currently have two volunteer roles open: Social Media Volunteer: 4 to 5 posts per week across Instagram and LinkedIn. Canva skills needed. Comfortable creating content for Islamic giving audiences (Ramadan, Zakat, Qurbani). Communications and Marketing Volunteer: Fundraising appeal copy, donor emails, newsletter, partnership outreach. Strong writing skills. 5 to 7 hours per week. Both roles are remote, flexible, and unpaid. A written reference is provided after a meaningful contribution.
